Q. How long will a flat roof last? A.
5 - 50 Years. Of course this depends on materials, skilled labour and the roofs design, how it is pitched etc. However, we have been hired to repair roofs that
have been literally weeks old.

I have noticed condensation in my roof space, “ how can I prevent this? A.
The only practical way to prevent condensation is through effective ventilation. By promoting cross currents of air, the entire roof void will be kept well ventilated and will disperse any water vapour before it can condense. This is especdially important with flat roofs
Q.
Is there a product that I can paint over my existing flat roof to stop it leaking? A.
Yes. There are a number of brush-applied, liquid roof coatings available they are a temporary fix fix and usually only work on the flat surfaces, still some of them are pretty good.
Q. Isn’t Aspahalt better thanBuilt Up Felt?
A. This really depends on the roof, each product has its advantages and disadvantages.
Q. Do you still use hot bitumen (tar)? A.
Sometimes. Some roofing insulation requires bitumern to bond it to the roof. However, we are using it less and less which is good news as it is dangerous for us poor roofers. Besides the new torch applied felt systems armore advanced now.
Q. How do I know you are any good? A.
Probably the best question of all. Of course we are all going to say how wonderful we are.
